Ricardo Torres-Cortez is a Mexican-born journalist living in Henderson, Nev. He covers local government for the Las Vegas Review-Journal, where he'd interned before a five-year stint with the Las Vegas Sun newspaper. He’s a UNLV graduate. And although he is Juarez-born, and a Texan at heart, he's more than  comfortable in the Silver State. He’s passionate about dark music, good food, a great book and Call of Duty.
